Easter Services:   Easter Sunrise Service 7:30am will be followed by a light breakfast, Sunday School 9 am, Worship 10am, and an Easter Egg Hunt.

While the season of Lent is not spoken of in the Bible, many of the practices of Lent are based on Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness.  The book of Mark emphasizes this part of Jesus’ life, and that Bible passage has influenced the Christian traditions of fasting and prayer during Lent.  The Gospel of Matthew also addresses this event in chapter four. 

Lenten Opportunities: Beginning February 28 through March 4 – the church will be open Tuesdays from 6am-6pm for a time of prayer in the sanctuary. More details to come. During the month of March, Lenten Lunches will be provided on Wednesdays in the Family Life Center, sponsored by the Corry Ministerial Association from noon – 1pm.

Beginning on February 5, 2023 the Corry First Family will worship together during a worship service at 10:00 AM each Sunday morning. The “blended” service will include modern and traditional music, prayer and praise and a message by Pastor Han. For those who would like to attend Sunday School, please join our Children’s and Adult classes at 9:00 AM. Following the worship service, you are invited to get to know us during a brief social time. We’d love to have you join us this Sunday!

New Thursday Night Study: “The Chosen”, the first multi-season TV series about the life of Christ, is coming to Corry First in 2023! “The Chosen” portrays Jesus through the eyes of those who met him. Join us on Thursday nights beginning January 5th in the Family Life Center at 6:30 pm and bring a friend! We will watch one episode each week, and then break into small groups to discuss the Bible passages on which the episode is based as we seek to answer the question, “What does it mean to be chosen?” The Chosen small group will meet through April and is open to members of the community.

Peru Trip: The Pasteriks will be leading a Mission Trip to Peru in June 2023. Please begin praying now to see if God is calling you to be part of the team. There will be an informational meeting in January for those who may be interested in exploring the possibility of going. Once the team is assembled, they will be meeting regularly to pray and prepare for the trip. The dates will be decided according to the availability of the team. More information will be coming in January.
